# Senior Controlling Analyst

## About the Role
A growing multinational company is hiring a Senior Controlling Analyst to work closely with leadership and support financial decision-making. The role is focused on cash flow, P&L/DRE, budget, forecast, and financial and management reporting.
This position goes beyond consolidating numbers. The analyst will review whether results make sense in the context of operations, investigate deviations, and explain financial impacts clearly to leadership. The role also involves collaboration with Billing, Foreign Trade, Sales, Operations, and external finance and accounting providers.
The company sees strong growth potential in this position, with the possibility of future progression into a finance leadership role.
## Key Responsibilities
– Prepare and analyze actual and projected cash flow, including inflows, outflows, bank balances, and future cash needs.
– Review P&L/DRE, including revenue, costs, expenses, margins, and results.
– Support budget, forecast, and actual-versus-plan analysis.
– Consolidate data from multiple areas, systems, and external providers.
– Validate data consistency and investigate significant variances, risks, and information gaps.
– Connect financial performance to operational events and explain business impacts.
– Monitor accounts payable, accounts receivable, customer terms, and working capital.
– Assess financial impacts from imports, foreign exchange, taxes, freight, and international payments.
– Build and track financial and management KPIs.
– Develop and improve controls, spreadsheets, dashboards, and reporting models.
– Prepare executive presentations and explain key results and variances.
– Produce financial reports in English and interact with international colleagues and stakeholders when required.
– Partner with internal teams and external providers to support decision-making with reliable analysis.
– Recommend process improvements and automation for controls and reporting.
## Required Skills
– Bachelor’s degree in Administration, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field.
– Experience in Controlling, Corporate Finance, Treasury, or FP&A.
– Practical experience preparing and analyzing cash flow.
– Strong knowledge of P&L/DRE and management reporting.
– Experience with budget, forecast, and variance analysis.
– Knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and working capital.
– Ability to interpret numbers beyond report preparation.
– Critical thinking to assess whether data matches operational reality.
– Ability to investigate root causes, explain variances, and present conclusions to leadership.
– Advanced Excel skills.
– Experience with ERP systems or financial management tools.
– Functional English at B1 level or above for reporting and professional interactions.
– Analytical, organized, inquisitive, and hands-on profile.
– Strong communication, autonomy, and ownership of deliverables.
– Availability to work onsite four times per week in Vila Madalena.
