## About the Role

The FinOps Analyst will support the IT Strategy Office in optimizing cloud and SaaS spending across IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS environments. The role exists to improve cost visibility, strengthen cost control, and support IT efficiency through data-driven analysis and reporting.

You will work closely with IT, DevOps, Finance, IT Contracts, and Procurement teams, as well as cloud and SaaS vendors. The position combines cost analysis, FinOps tooling, SaaS license management, policy development, and stakeholder education.

## Key Responsibilities

– Monitor and analyze cloud service costs to identify optimization opportunities
– Implement and maintain FinOps tools and SaaS management platforms
– Build and maintain financial and operational dashboards and reports for business and technical stakeholders
– Partner with IT, DevOps, Finance, IT Contracts, and Procurement to align costs with budget and company strategy
– Manage the SaaS license lifecycle, including purchasing, assignment, optimization, renewal, and retirement
– Support negotiations with SaaS and cloud vendors and assist with procurement and tender processes
– Develop and implement cloud and SaaS cost governance policies, including allocation rules and resource tagging
– Educate technical and business teams on FinOps best practices and cost management
– Participate in internal and external audits related to licensing and cost compliance

## Required Skills

– 2–3 years of experience in FinOps, cloud cost management, or SaaS cost management
– Knowledge of cloud and SaaS cost management tools such as Apptio, CloudHealth, or Flexera
– Ability to analyze financial and technical data and turn it into data-backed recommendations
– Understanding of cost allocation, resource tagging, and chargeback/showback
– Knowledge of billing and invoicing models used by AWS, Azure, and GCP
– Strong Excel skills and experience with BI tools such as Power BI or Looker

## Preferred Skills

– Automation experience using Python, PowerShell, or Bash
– Experience integrating systems through REST APIs
– Certifications such as FinOps Certified Practitioner, AWS Cloud Practitioner, Azure Fundamentals, ITIL, or PMP
– Knowledge of ITAM/SAM processes
– Experience in IT budget management, forecasting, and variance analysis
– Ability to run workshops and training sessions for technical and non-technical audiences
– Familiarity with ESG/GreenOps trends in IT infrastructure
– Experience with ERP systems or financial tools
