# Senior FinOps Engineer

## About the Role

This position supports the implementation and evolution of FinOps practices in a Microsoft Azure environment, with a strong focus on cloud cost optimization and financial governance. The goal is to improve efficiency across cloud infrastructure while strengthening operational and financial control.

The role works closely with technical and business teams to turn cloud usage into clear, actionable financial insight. It also contributes to the ongoing development of the organization’s FinOps processes and governance practices.

This is a hybrid role based in Oeiras, Portugal, with on-site presence at the client office required 1 to 2 times per week. Candidates must be available to work under this hybrid arrangement.

## Key Responsibilities

– Design, implement, and operate FinOps processes aligned with the Inform, Optimize, and Operate phases of the FinOps Foundation framework.
– Track, analyze, and optimize Microsoft Azure infrastructure costs.
– Build and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards for FinOps metrics and KPIs.
– Partner with technical and business stakeholders to support strong cloud financial management practices.
– Contribute to cloud governance, control, and resource optimization initiatives.
– Support continuous improvement of FinOps processes across the organization.

## Required Skills

– At least 4 years of experience implementing and operating the FinOps Foundation framework.
– At least 6 years of experience in Microsoft Azure environments, including data components.
– Experience designing and implementing FinOps processes across the Inform, Optimize, and Operate phases.
– Strong Power BI skills for reporting and analysis.
– FinOps Certified Engineer certification.
– AZ-104 – Azure Administrator Associate certification.
– Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
– Team-oriented approach, responsibility, and collaboration skills.

## Preferred Skills

– AZ-305 – Azure Solutions Architect certification.
– Knowledge of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
