About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced and proactive IT Asset Manager to join our Service Delivery function and play a key role in strengthening and maturing our IT Asset Management capability.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys improving processes, building operational foundations and driving best practice across hardware, software and licensing management.
You’ll lead a small specialist team and work closely with Service Delivery, Procurement, Infrastructure and Technology teams to improve governance, increase visibility and ensure effective lifecycle management of IT assets across the organisation.
The role is ideally suited to a strong operational IT Asset Management professional who can balance governance, stakeholder engagement and continuous improvement within a changing and evolving environment.
You’ll also support cloud cost visibility and optimisation activities alongside our Cloud specialists, helping to ensure technology consumption is managed effectively and commercially.
What You’ll Be Doing
Lead and develop a small IT Asset Management team
Improve and streamline IT asset management processes and controls
Own and maintain accurate hardware, software and licensing asset records
Develop and implement ITAM policies, procedures and standards
Support upcoming IT asset audits and ensure audit readiness
Work closely with Service Delivery teams to shape and improve operational processes
Manage vendor relationships and support procurement activities
Oversee the full lifecycle management of IT assets from acquisition through to disposal
Produce meaningful reporting, forecasting and management information
Drive improvements in asset governance, compliance and operational maturity
Collaborate with technical teams to improve asset visibility and configuration management
Support cloud cost management and optimisation initiatives across Azure environments
Help foster a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement
What We’re Looking For
Essential Experience
Proven experience in an IT Asset Management role within a complex IT environment
Strong understanding of:
Hardware and software asset management
Asset lifecycle management
Governance and compliance
Configuration and inventory management
Vendor and supplier management
Experience developing and improving operational processes and policies
Experience supporting or preparing for IT asset audits
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Experience leading or mentoring team members
Highly organised with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work collaboratively across technical and business teams
ITIL experience or understanding
Desirable Experience
Exposure to Azure cost management or Cloud FinOps principles
Experience within Financial Services, Insurance, Banking or regulated environments
Knowledge of modern licensing and subscription models
Experience working with Dell hardware estates and mobile device environments
