POSITION INFO:
Our client seeks to employ a Cloud FinOPs Specialist who is responsible for the design, development, implementation, and management of cloud technology across the organisation.
Responsibilities:
Establish, document and drive adoption of the cloud processes, standards, policies, and governance model across ManCo, OpCos and other stakeholders related to cloud resource utilisation
Define cloud resource usage policies that impact the cloud billing (e.g. Cloud Consumption Policy, Resource Tagging Policies etc.)
Working with Opcos providing guidance as required
Support OpCo finance teams in setting up of cloud chargeback and showback processes
Build Cloud Services budget and track actual and forecasted costs
Governance framework
Value Realisation framework
Community of Practice
Cloud adoption business case framework and Business cases support for workload migration
Cloud Cost Optimization framework
Requirements:
Minimum 4-year relevant Academic Degree with Honours (B Eng / BSc Degree Preferred)
MBA / Masters advantageous
Relevant certification/accreditation/membership with professional body as required for role (e.g. Certified Finops Practitioner by Linux Foundation, AZ-900: Azure Fundamentals, GCP Associate Cloud Engineer, AZ-104: Microsoft Azure Administrator etc.)
Minimum of 10 years’ of overall experience in IT with proven experience in cloud
Minimum 3 years’ experience in cloud finops, or equivalent related to finops
Familiarity with Azure and GCP cloud environments
