Job Description
• Cloud Cost Optimization: Analyze and monitor cloud spend, usage patterns, and recommend rightsizing, reservation, and other cost-saving opportunities.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering, DevOps, and finance teams to align cloud usage with business goals and budgets.
• Forecasting & Budgeting: Support development of cloud cost forecasts, assist with budgeting processes, and track actual vs. forecasted costs.
• Reporting & Dashboards: Create and maintain reports and dashboards using tools such as CloudHealth, Cloudability, AWS Cost Explorer, or Looker to provide visibility into cloud spend.
Qualifications
• Bachelors in Computer Science preferred with MBA background
• Has a significant accounting and finance background with ability to marry technical capabilities
• 5+ years of experience in a FinOps, Cloud Financial Analyst, Cloud Operations, or similar role.
• Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Alibaba, GCP) and associated billing models.
• Experience with cloud cost management and optimization tools (e.g., CloudHealth, CloudCheckr, Cloudability, AWS Cost Explorer).
