The ideal candidate for this role is a detail-oriented Azure FinOps Specialist with 3–5 years of experience in cloud cost management and optimization. This role will focus on improving cost visibility, implementing governance, and ensuring efficient resource utilization across the Azure environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and analyze Azure cloud spending across subscriptions, resource groups, and services.
Identify underutilized or idle resources and recommend optimization actions.
Implement strategies to reduce unnecessary cloud expenditure.
Establish cost governance frameworks including tagging policies, budgeting, and cost allocation.
Implement cost control policies using Azure Policy and Azure Cost Management tools.
Ensure adherence to FinOps best practices and cloud financial management frameworks.
Build and maintain cost dashboards and reports using Azure Cost Management, Power BI, or similar tools.
Provide monthly cost analysis, forecasting, and trend insights to stakeholders.
Work with engineering, DevOps, and finance teams to align cloud usage with business needs.
Recommend cost-saving options such as Reserved Instances, Savings Plans, and Spot Instances.
Support automation of cost monitoring and optimization using scripts, policies, or Azure automation tools.
Requirements:
3–5 years of experience in FinOps, cloud cost management, or cloud operations.
Hands-on experience managing Microsoft Azure environments.
Strong knowledge of Azure Cost Management & Billing.
Experience with Azure Resource Manager (ARM), subscriptions, and resource groups.
Understanding of Reserved Instances, Savings Plans, and cost optimization strategies.
Experience building cost dashboards using Power BI or similar tools.
Familiarity with Azure Policy, tagging strategies, and governance frameworks.
Basic scripting knowledge (PowerShell, Python, or Azure CLI) is a plus.
