# FinOps & ValueOps Operations Engineer

## About the Role
As a FinOps & ValueOps Operations Engineer at RealPage, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the efficiency of our cloud and AI cost operations. Your work will focus on automating processes and ensuring effective value tracking across our multi-cloud environment. In collaboration with fellow team members, you will utilize AI-driven tooling to streamline cost governance, monitor budgets, and manage reporting workflows.

The position involves hands-on operational tasks, maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and keeping the FinOps & ValueOps practice effective and up-to-date with the latest in AI and automation technologies. Your contributions will directly influence the financial operations and overall success of the organization.

## Key Responsibilities
– Support automation strategies and migration plans for FinOps & ValueOps.
– Test and evaluate cost automation systems and AI models for improvements.
– Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and assist in knowledge transfer for the team.
– Execute daily operational tasks such as budget monitoring, cost anomaly triage, tagging remediation, and handling ticket-based support requests.
– Implement and manage AI-driven cost automation in a secure multi-tenant cloud environment (AWS, GCP, and Azure).
– Work with the FinOps & ValueOps Engineering team to configure, troubleshoot, and optimize automation projects.
– Provide after-hours operational support for production-related cost and value reporting issues.
– Identify process improvement and automation opportunities utilizing AI/ML techniques.
– Stay current with emerging AI, automation, and FinOps/ValueOps tools.

## Required Skills
– 2+ years of experience in financial operations (FinOps), cloud cost management, or IT operations support.
– Hands-on experience with building automation scripts, dashboards, and monitoring tools in hybrid environments.
– Proficiency in automation using Python and/or AI-assisted tooling (e.g., LLM-based agents).
– Knowledge of cloud billing and cost management systems such as AWS Cost Explorer, GCP Billing Export, and Azure Cost Management.
– Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks for automation, including anomaly detection and predictive analytics.
– Solid understanding of tagging governance and cost allocation practices.
– Strong troubleshooting skills across cloud cost, billing, and reporting platforms.
– Ability to write and maintain detailed SOPs and operational documentation, including flowcharts.

## Preferred Skills
– FinOps Certified Practitioner or related cloud cost management certification.
– Experience with cost allocation models, budget guardrails, and chargeback/showback reporting.
– Knowledge of Agile Scrum methodology.

## Work Schedule & Setup
– Onsite work required for the first 90 days of training; hybrid setup begins thereafter with two onsite days per week.
– Fixed graveyard shift schedule with night differential pay.
