Lead IT Financial Strategy & Cloud Cost Optimization
About the Role
The IT Financials and Resource Manager is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing IT financial governance, performance tracking, budgeting, and cloud financial operations (FinOps).
This position partners closely with IT, Finance, Procurement, and Business Units to drive transparency, cost efficiency, and value realization across the IT portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic IT Financial Planning & Analysis
Lead IT financial strategy, budgeting, and forecasting processes
Track financial performance across IT portfolios, projects, and services
Deliver executive-level cost-benefit and ROI analyses
FinOps Leadership & Cloud Cost Optimization
Champion FinOps practices organization-wide
Optimize cloud resource utilization across AWS, Azure, or GCP
Establish governance frameworks and reporting for cloud spend
Cost Allocation & Financial Governance
Design cost allocation models aligned with IT service delivery
Ensure accurate financial tracking for IT and cloud resources
Promote financial transparency across departments
Vendor Financial Oversight & Contract Management
Lead financial evaluations and vendor negotiations
Monitor vendor spend vs. contract terms and budgets
Partner with Procurement and Legal for sound sourcing decisions
Performance Monitoring & Executive Reporting
Develop executive dashboards and IT financial KPIs
Present financial insights to senior leadership
Ensure compliance with audit and regulatory requirements
Team Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement
Manage and mentor financial analysts and FinOps specialists
Facilitate cross-functional collaboration across IT and Finance
Lead workshops and strategic planning sessions
Must-Have Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, IT, or related field
5+ years of experience in IT financial management, FinOps, or related leadership role
Proven experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Strong financial modeling and analytical skills (Excel and PowerPoint)
Experience with IT financial tools (Apptio, CloudHealth, or similar platforms)
Strong stakeholder management and leadership experience
Good-to-Have
Master’s degree or MBA
FinOps certification or equivalent training
