AROBS Group is looking for a
Cloud Operations Program Manager. The role involves driving the planning, execution, and continuous improvement of cloud operational programs across the enterprise. This role sits at the intersection of cloud engineering, operations, security, finance, and business stakeholders. You will ensure that cloud services are delivered reliably, securely, efficiently, and in alignment with organizational goals.
Responsibilities
Program & Project Management
Lead cross-functional programs focused on cloud operations, reliability, modernization, and automation.
Develop program roadmaps, timelines, milestones, and success metrics.
Manage program risks, dependencies, and stakeholder communications.
Coordinate delivery across cloud engineering, SRE, DevOps, SecOps, FinOps, and product teams.
Cloud Operations Governance
Establish and maintain operational standards, runbooks, and best practices.
Drive cloud governance related to security, cost management, compliance, and resource utilization.
Oversee operational readiness for new services and major releases.
Partner with security and compliance to ensure adherence to policies (e.g., IAM, data protection, monitoring requirements).
Operational Excellence
Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance uptime, performance, resiliency, and scalability.
Drive operational automation efforts (infrastructure-as-code, self-healing patterns, monitoring).
Support and refine incident management, root cause analysis (RCA), and post-incident review processes.
Work with engineering teams to track and reduce technical debt.
Cloud Financial & Resource Management
Partner with FinOps teams to monitor cloud spend, optimize resource usage, and drive cost-efficiency initiatives.
Forecast operational resource needs (compute, networking, storage).
Track and report on budgets, operational KPIs, and cloud consumption trends.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
Serve as the central point of coordination for cloud operations initiatives.
Provide executive-level reporting, dashboards, and insights on operational health and program outcomes.
Translate technical concepts into business-aligned value and decision inputs.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of program or project management experience (cloud or IT operations preferred).
Strong understanding of cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
Experience working in DevOps/SRE-oriented environments.
Familiarity with cloud concepts like virtualization, networking, IAM, containerization, and monitoring.
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Proven ability to manage complex, multi-team initiatives in fast-paced environments.
Preferred Qualifications
Certifications: PMP, Scrum Master, ITIL, or cloud certifications (Azure, AWS, GCP).
Experience with FinOps or cloud cost optimization frameworks.
Knowledge of tools such as Terraform, Kubernetes, ServiceNow, Datadog, Grafana, Azure Monitor, CloudWatch, or similar.
Background in incident management, business continuity, or reliability engineering.
