About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced
IT Finance Manager
to provide accurate, timely, and strategic financial reporting and oversight for our IT organization. This role requires strong accounting knowledge, sharp analytical thinking, and the ability to partner closely with IT leadership. You’ll lead financial planning cycles, forecast technology investments, manage cloud FinOps initiatives, and support visibility across IT operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Planning & Budgeting
Lead the annual IT budget process, including forecasting operational and capital expenses, labor capitalization rates, and cost allocations.
Partner with IT leadership to translate business needs into actionable financial plans.
Cost Management & Optimization
Analyze IT spend to identify cost‑reduction and efficiency opportunities.
Support vendor negotiations, contract analysis, and resource optimization.
Financial Reporting & Analysis
Prepare monthly financial reports with variance analysis, spending trends, and insights for IT and senior leadership.
Perform monthly close responsibilities including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial packages.
Forecasting & Strategic Investment
Build accurate forecasts aligned with project timelines, technology lifecycles, and market trends.
Develop business cases and ROI models for major IT initiatives and perform post‑implementation reviews.
FinOps Leadership & Cloud Governance
Lead a FinOps team focused on cloud financial accountability.
Improve cloud tagging, reporting, and consumption strategies across IT.
Compliance & Governance
Ensure compliance with internal controls, SOX, GAAP/IFRS standards, and company accounting policies.
Collaboration & Cross‑Functional Leadership
Serve as a key liaison between IT and Finance.
Partner with business stakeholders to ensure alignment between IT investments and enterprise goals.
Team Leadership
Manage and develop a team of financial analysts and IT finance professionals.
Support planning, organizing, evaluating, and implementing departmental operations.
Skills & Qualifications:
Required
Bachelor’s degree (Accounting preferred).
2–4 years of public accounting experience (Big 4 or Tier 2).
5–7 years of progressive accounting or finance experience in high‑growth companies.
Minimum 3 years of leadership experience.
Strong knowledge of accounting concepts including journal entries, reconciliations, variance analysis, and U.S. GAAP.
Advanced Excel skills; experience with OneStream, ServiceNow, or Oracle Financials is a plus.
Strong communication skills with the ability to present information to executives.
Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and operate in a fast‑paced environment.
Additional Responsibilities:
Support cloud and telecom reporting across all IT functions.
Engage in planning, evaluating, and controlling departmental activities.
Perform other duties as required.
