Responsibilities
•    Monitor, analyze, and forecast Azure spend using Cost Management, Power BI, and custom dashboards
•    Implement tagging standards and cost allocation (showback/chargeback) by team, product, and environment
•    Identify and drive optimization: rightsizing, idle resource cleanup, reserved instances, savings plans, spot usage, and storage tiering
•    Track and optimize Databricks spend: DBU consumption by workspace, job, and team using billing system tables; job vs all-purpose compute; serverless vs classic; autoscaling and auto-termination; and committed-use planning
•    Define and enforce resource governance: budgets, quotas, alerts, and Azure Policy for tagging and approved SKUs, plus Databricks cluster policies and custom tags for cost attribution
•    Automate cost controls (e.g., shutdown schedules for non-production, anomaly alerts)
•    Partner with engineering teams to review architectures for cost efficiency
•    Prepare regular cost reports and present insights to stakeholders
•    Promote FinOps culture and practices across the organization
Required Qualifications
•    3+ years in cloud operations, cost management, or FinOps

•    Scripting skills for automating reporting and cost controls
Preferred Qualifications
