## About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and analytical Financial Analyst to join our Strategy Office’s financial analysis team. This role serves as a crucial business partner for two core initiatives: the Battery Energy Exchange Service (Gogoro Network) and the GoShare scooter-sharing service. You will play a vital role in business management and financial decision-making, analyzing the profitability of over 3,000 battery exchange stations and optimizing asset utilization. Additionally, you will evaluate the investment efficiency of fleet expansion and asset retirement, turning financial data into actionable operational strategy recommendations to drive business growth and efficiency.
In this role, collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential. You will provide insights that influence strategic decisions and support operational improvements across the organization. Your contributions will directly impact the success of our core business areas.
## Key Responsibilities
– **Operational and Profitability Analysis**
– Monitor subscription revenue and operational costs across the energy network.
– Lead the profitability analysis for over 3,000 battery exchange stations.
– **Capital Expenditure Investment Evaluation**
– Create models to assess investment efficacy for batteries and exchange stations, as well as new fleet investments.
– Optimize asset utilization, analyzing operational costs at different battery lifecycle stages.
– **Budgeting, Forecasting, and Financial Analysis**
– Lead the annual budgeting and rolling financial forecasting for both business units.
– Transform financial and operational data into executive management reports, providing key insights during regular meetings with FP&A leadership.
– **Cross-Departmental Collaboration and Communication**
– Act as a pivotal bridge between the financial strategy planning team and various operational, business planning, and accounting units.
– Demonstrate strong organizational skills and logical reasoning to effectively present financial analysis results and influence cross-department decisions.
## Required Skills
– **Educational Background and Experience**
– Degree in accounting, finance, business, statistics, or a related quantitative field.
– A minimum of 3 years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, or business analysis.
– **Technical Skills**
– Proficiency in Excel for financial modeling, scenario analysis, and data handling.
– Familiarity with data visualization and business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) or programming languages/AI tools (e.g., Python) is a plus.
– **Soft Skills**
– Strong ownership and proactiveness, with a keen sense of responsibility and problem-solving abilities.
– Excellent communication and collaboration skills for effective interaction with cross-functional teams.
– Proficient presentation and storytelling abilities, translating complex data into understandable business narratives.
