# FinOps Lead

## About the Role
The FinOps Lead will spearhead the Cloud Financial Operations (FinOps) practice within Aon’s global technology organization, based in Bangalore, Whitefield. This pivotal role is focused on enhancing cloud cost transparency, accountability, and optimization efforts in collaboration with engineering and finance teams worldwide. The FinOps Lead will play a critical part in shaping strategies that promote efficient cloud usage, ultimately driving significant business impact and cost savings.

The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to oversee cloud financial activities, implement best practices, and ensure that cloud spending aligns with the organization’s financial goals. This role is essential for steering the organization’s approach to cloud resource management and cost optimization.

## Key Responsibilities
– Lead the development and implementation of FinOps strategies across the organization.
– Collaborate with engineering and finance teams to promote cloud cost visibility and accountability.
– Drive cloud cost optimization initiatives, ensuring alignment with financial objectives.
– Establish and maintain financial reporting frameworks for cloud spending.
– Monitor cloud expenditure and recommend optimization measures to enhance cost efficiency.
– Support budgeting and forecasting processes related to cloud financial management.

## Required Skills
– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Finance, or a related discipline; MBA preferred.
– Minimum 8 years of experience in cloud infrastructure, IT finance, or technology operations, with at least 3 years in a leadership role focusing on FinOps or cloud cost management.
– Certification as a FinOps Certified Practitioner (FOCP) or FinOps Certified Professional is required, or a commitment to achieve this within 6 months.
