# Job Description: Financial Planning Analyst

## About the Role
We are seeking a Financial Planning Analyst to join our finance team. This role is essential for ensuring robust financial planning and analysis, thereby supporting strategic decision-making throughout the organization. The analyst will collaborate closely with various business units, consolidating forecasts and budgets, and providing insights into financial performance.

The primary mission of this role is to enhance the financial health of the company through meticulous planning, analysis, and reporting. The analyst will be instrumental in identifying opportunities and risks while advising on actionable plans. This role also contributes to automation and process improvement initiatives aimed at increasing the efficiency of financial reporting and planning processes.

## Key Responsibilities
– Lead the financial planning process, including the preparation of the annual budget, budget revisions, and alignment of assumptions with business and corporate areas.
– Develop, consolidate, and monitor periodic forecasts, ensuring integrated projections of income statements, cash flow statements, and balance sheets.
– Conduct financial modeling, feasibility studies, and investment analyses to support strategic decision-making.
– Analyze actual versus budgeted results, pinpointing variances, risks, and opportunities with actionable recommendations.
– Monitor profitability across business units and structure financial and operational indicators, such as EBITDA and cash flow.
– Manage and control expenses using a matrix expense management methodology, assisting managers in resource optimization.
– Serve as a strategic partner, providing financial analyses, management reports, and executive presentations to company leadership.
– Drive initiatives for automation, standardization, and continuous improvement in financial planning, reporting, and control processes using Business Intelligence tools, including Power BI.
– Contribute to digital transformation projects, data governance, and financial intelligence, enhancing analytical practices within the finance department.

## Required Skills
– Bachelor’s Degree in Administration, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, or related fields.
– Significant experience in Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), including budget and long-term planning processes.
– Proficient in financial performance analysis, managerial reporting, and decision support.
– Strong knowledge of income statement, cash flow statement, and balance sheet analysis and projection.
– Experienced in financial modeling, investment analysis, and scenario planning.
– Familiarity with financial and performance indicators, particularly EBITDA, profitability, and cash management.
– Advanced Excel skills.
– Experience in creating dashboards and managerial analyses using Power BI.
– Knowledge of Matrix Expense Management (GMD) practices.
– Proven consultative ability as a business partner to operational and corporate areas.
– Experience in preparing and presenting management reports and executive materials.

## Preferred Skills
– Experience with the AllStrategy platform.
– Knowledge of SQL, Power Query, Power Apps, Python, or other data analysis and automation tools.
– Experience within corporate groups with multiple companies and financial consolidation processes.
– Understanding of working capital management, including inventory, accounts receivable, and debt structure.
– Participation in digital transformation, process automation, data governance, or financial intelligence projects.
– Postgraduate degree or MBA in Finance, Controllership, Business Management, or related areas.
