# Staff FP&A Analyst
## About the Role
The Staff FP&A Analyst is a pivotal role within Aven Hospitality, focusing on enhancing the company’s finance functions as it transitions to a leading SaaS organization. This role operates at the junction of strategic finance and execution, tasked with managing complex financial modeling and guiding FP&A methodologies. Reporting to the Head of FP&A, the analyst will work closely with leadership teams to provide insights that drive executive and board-level decisions.
The primary objectives of this role include owning and evolving financial models that support long-range planning and resource allocation, alongside providing deep analytical insights into operating expenses. The analysis will influence budgeting and cost accountability while enhancing operational efficiency as the organization scales.
## Key Responsibilities
– **Financial Planning & Strategic Modeling**
– Own and evolve complex company-wide financial models, including long-range planning and ARR forecasting.
– Lead analysis for strategic initiatives such as pricing and investment decisions.
– **OpEx & Cost Intelligence**
– Manage visibility into operating expense performance, focusing on workforce, vendor, and technology expenditures.
– Collaborate with functional leaders to model, forecast, and analyze cost drivers.
– Construct and maintain driver-based cost models linked to key scaling factors.
– Analyze labor versus non-labor expenditures, providing insights on cost structure and optimization.
– **Support Initiatives**
– Drive cost optimization programs and ensure investments align with strategic goals.
– Regularly present financial insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
## Required Skills
– Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
– 6+ years of experience in FP&A or strategic finance, particularly in SaaS or enterprise software.
– Expertise in constructing complex financial models and strong proficiency in FP&A tools (e.g., Adaptive), Excel, and BI platforms.
– Ability to translate intricate financial concepts into actionable insights.
– Highly analytical and self-directed, with a strategic mindset.
