# Cloud Financial Management | FinOps Specialist

## About the Role
We are seeking a Cloud Financial Management | FinOps Specialist for an international project based in Porto. The primary purpose of this role is to analyze and monitor cloud and AI service spending across various products and services to identify cost optimization opportunities. The successful candidate will have a significant impact on strategic decision-making regarding cloud expenditures and will work closely with teams across finance, infrastructure, cloud, and engineering.

This position exists to enhance the organization’s cloud financial management practices by ensuring transparency and visibility in cloud costs. In collaboration with operational and product development teams, the specialist will support the implementation of FinOps practices, ultimately contributing to the organization’s financial efficiency and operational performance.

## Key Responsibilities
– Analyze and monitor cloud and AI service spending.
– Identify and present cost optimization opportunities.
– Monitor daily cloud costs and spending trends.
– Prepare weekly and monthly cost reports.
– Ensure transparency of cloud costs through reporting and cost attribution.
– Develop hands-on cloud cost optimization initiatives, including rightsizing and waste management.
– Collaborate on FinOps and DevFinOps practices.
– Conduct business analysis to identify cloud cost drivers and trends.
– Develop financial models for cost forecasting and projections.
– Communicate insights and recommendations to various stakeholders.
– Improve tools and processes to support integration of financial and technical data.

## Required Skills
– Professional experience in Cloud Financial Management or FinOps.
– Strong knowledge of cloud services cost management.
– Experience with cloud pricing models and cost optimization strategies.
– Knowledge of FinOps principles and methodologies.
– Experience with forecasting, amortization, and financial reporting.
– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
– Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
– Ability to work effectively in dynamic environments.
– Fluency in English.

## Preferred Skills
– Experience working with cloud cost management tools.
– Familiarity with AI service cost management and optimization.
– Knowledge of Cloud Financial Management frameworks.
– Experience implementing FinOps controls and guardrails.
– Background in data analysis and visualization.
