# Business Operations Specialist – Cloud

## About the Role
WPP Media seeks a Business Operations Specialist focused on cloud financial management to join our Global Operations Centre (GOC). In this role, you will collaborate across teams in the U.S., Europe, and Asia, employing an analytical approach to optimize cloud costs. Your primary responsibilities will include driving FinOps initiatives, performing cloud spend analysis, and ensuring effective budget management.

You will work closely with Finance and Technology teams to transform cloud cost data into actionable financial insights. Your efforts will contribute to improved financial processes and visibility within the Media cluster, directly impacting the effectiveness of media investments.

## Key Responsibilities
– **FinOps Delivery Support**: Collaborate with the central FinOps team, providing assistance with Media cloud cost topics and financial execution where needed.
– **Cloud Spend Analysis**: Analyze Media cloud spending to identify cost drivers and trends, enhancing cost attribution and transparency.
– **Cost Optimization**: Partner with FinOps and Technology teams to identify and pursue cloud cost optimization opportunities, defining baselines and tracking savings.
– **Forecasting & Budget Management**: Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and tracking actuals for Media cloud spending to ensure accurate financial alignment.
– **Reporting & Governance**: Produce high-quality financial reports and documentation for Media stakeholders to support transparency and audit compliance.

## Required Skills
– Minimum of 3 years in IT Finance or Tech Finance, with experience as a Financial Analyst.
– Proven expertise in cost analysis, financial modeling, and IT budgeting.
– Bachelor’s degree.
– Proficiency in advanced Excel functions (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables) and exposure to AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot).
– Familiarity with ERPs and CRMs.
– Strong understanding of cloud costs and FinOps concepts with a continuous learning mindset.
– Experience in large, complex organizations, working collaboratively across multiple regions.
– Self-motivated and proactive with excellent stakeholder engagement skills.
