# Job Description: FinOps Consultant

## About the Role
We are seeking a FinOps Consultant to join our Technology Strategy & Transformation team. In this role, you will play a critical part in shaping the financial management landscape of leading organizations. You will work closely with CIOs and IT leadership to develop innovative IT strategies and optimize financial management approaches, enabling transparency and control over IT costs. Your efforts will contribute to the alignment of technology with business goals while staying informed about emerging trends such as AI Financial Management and Cost Optimization.

This position involves collaborating across teams to create key performance indicators, reporting frameworks, and cost management strategies. The objective is to enhance IT value and assist clients in making informed decisions about their digital transformation initiatives.

## Key Responsibilities
– Advise companies on IT cost management, optimization, and transparency.
– Develop financial management frameworks for IT that are future-ready.
– Support the measurement of IT, digitalization, and cloud value contributions for informed management decisions.
– Create KPI, reporting, and governance models that provide clarity on costs, performance, and outcomes.
– Shape strategies around IT budget planning, cost control, and financial governance of transformation programs.
– Analyze cloud and AI cost structures to identify cost drivers and recommend optimization measures in FinOps and AI Financial Management.

## Required Skills
– Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.
– Initial experience in IT Financial Management, controlling, or IT performance settings.
– Proficient in cloud and FinOps domains with an interest in AI Financial Management and data-driven cost optimization.
– Strong analytical skills, with the ability to handle cost, consumption, and performance data.
– Excellent communication skills in both German and English (minimum C1 level).
