# Senior Consultant IT Financial Management (m/f/d)

## About the Role
This role sits within Deloitte’s Digital Risk practice and supports national and international clients in strengthening the commercial management of their IT organisations. The team’s focus is to help clients reduce digital risk while making their IT transformation more value-oriented and strategically controlled.

As a Senior Consultant, you will work across IT Financial Management, IT controlling, FinOps, and IT Value Management. The role combines advisory work, analysis, tool implementation, and the development of transparent financial and steering structures for IT.

You will also contribute to projects involving AI use and modern value-based management models. Engagements span the full project lifecycle, from proposal support and client acquisition through to delivery and strategic recommendations.

## Key Responsibilities
– Advise national and international clients on the digital transformation of their IT organisations.
– Support IT Financial Management initiatives, including IT controlling, FinOps, and IT Value Management.
– Analyse and improve IT cost and performance structures.
– Support business cases and help increase efficiency, transparency, and cost awareness in IT service management.
– Develop IT strategies, roadmaps, data models, and management dashboards for budgets, investments, and return on IT investment.
– Contribute to consulting projects from proposal development and client acquisition through analysis, implementation, and strategic recommendations.

## Required Skills
– A degree in business informatics, economics with an IT focus, mathematics, engineering, natural sciences, or a comparable field.
– Strong analytical and conceptual thinking.
– A structured, independent way of working.
– Interest in combining IT, finance, and strategy.
– Strong communication skills and openness to change.
– Willingness to travel.
– Very good spoken and written German and English.

## Preferred Skills
– Initial experience in IT, IT controlling, financial management, or IT service management.
– Initial experience with reporting and analysis tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
– Initial knowledge of Technology Business Management (TBM), FinOps / Cloud Financial Management, or IT service, portfolio, or cost management.

– Support the setup and optimisation of transparent IT financial and steering structures.
– Work on IT controlling, FinOps, and IT Value Management.
– Analyse IT cost and performance structures.
– Support business cases and improve efficiency, transparency, and cost awareness in IT service management.
– Develop dashboards, data models, roadmaps, and management views for budget, investment, and return-on-investment decisions.
