## About the Role
This position focuses on improving cloud cost transparency, governance, and measurable savings across Azure, AWS, and GCP. It brings together FinOps, cloud architecture, Kubernetes optimization, and Terraform-based controls to help engineering and finance teams make better decisions from platform usage data.
You will work with platform teams, delivery squads, and finance stakeholders to identify cost drivers, apply optimization measures, and build cloud solutions that balance performance, resilience, and cost. The role is based in Kraków with a hybrid model and 8–6 office visits per month.
## Key Responsibilities
– Drive FinOps optimization across Azure, AWS, and GCP.
– Identify cloud cost drivers and implement optimization measures such as rightsizing, scheduling, tier optimization, and commitment planning.
– Reduce Kubernetes spend for containerized workloads through cluster sizing, autoscaling, node pool strategies, and environment controls.
– Embed FinOps practices into Terraform-based infrastructure to support tagging, cost allocation, policy compliance, and guardrails.
– Apply governance and compliance patterns to reduce resource sprawl and improve allocation accuracy.
– Automate optimization and operational controls using PowerShell, Bash, pipelines, and DevSecOps practices.
– Turn platform consumption data into forecasting and financial insights for engineering and finance stakeholders.
– Design scalable cloud architectures that balance performance, resilience, and cost.
– Collaborate with platform, delivery, and finance teams to align cost targets with technical and operational constraints.
## Required Skills
– 3–5 years of experience as a Senior Cloud Engineer or Cloud DevOps Engineer, including Azure solution architecture.
– Strong knowledge of Azure core services, identity, networking, and governance.
– Familiarity with AWS and GCP cost drivers and pricing mechanics.
– Practical understanding of FinOps, including cost allocation, showback/chargeback, optimization levers, and cost governance.
– Hands-on experience designing and operating Kubernetes platforms in production.
– Strong Terraform skills, including modular design, reusable components, and CI/CD integration.
– Experience building automated cost optimization reporting pipelines using APIs or scripted automation.
– Strong DevSecOps background and experience improving pipelines and platform delivery outcomes.
– Solid Windows and Linux fundamentals, including platform operations and troubleshooting.
– Ability to analyze cost and usage data in SQL and convert it into actionable insights.
– Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
– Multi-cloud experience across AWS, Azure, and GCP, plus familiarity with cloud-native data services such as BigQuery.
