## About the Role
This opportunity is open to professionals based in **Guadalajara, Mexico,** and **São Paulo, Brazil**. The Cloud FinOps Analyst will focus on managing and improving spend across cloud and AI hosting environments, including **AWS, GCP, OpenAI, and Anthropic**.
The role sits between engineering, finance, and leadership. Its purpose is to improve cost visibility, forecasting, and accountability so infrastructure spend stays controlled and aligned with business value as usage grows.
You will help build the processes and reporting needed to make hosting costs easier to track, explain, and optimize across the organization.
## Key Responsibilities
– Own visibility into spend across cloud and AI providers.
– Analyze usage and cost patterns to identify optimization opportunities and measure savings.
– Build and maintain forecasting, budgeting, and variance-tracking processes for hosting spend.
– Work with engineering teams to implement cost-efficiency improvements and assess their business impact.
– Prepare clear cost reporting and recommendations for leadership.
– Promote FinOps practices and cost accountability across the organization.
## Required Skills
– Advanced English level (B2/C1).
– 5–10 years of relevant professional experience in cloud cost management, FinOps, or business/data analysis.
– Demonstrated, verifiable impact in cloud cost optimization.
– Strong understanding of FinOps principles, cloud cost management, and business operations.
– Strong SQL and analytical skills.
– Experience working in a data analyst or business analyst capacity.
– Good understanding of cloud infrastructure, services, and pricing models.
– Ability to turn complex cost data into clear recommendations for senior stakeholders.
– Experience building and/or using AI agents, agentic workflows, LLM-based automation, or AI-assisted engineering tools.
## Preferred Skills
– FinOps Certified Practitioner or equivalent certification.
– Experience managing spend on AI/LLM platforms.
