## About the Role
This is a fully remote opening for an Intermediate or Senior FinOps Consultant supporting the expansion of a consulting and advisory practice across the DACH region. The role is open to candidates based in Germany, Austria or Switzerland, or elsewhere in Europe, as long as they are fluent in both German and English.
You will work directly with C-level and senior stakeholders, advising clients across hybrid and multi-cloud environments. The role covers the full FinOps lifecycle, from maturity assessment and discovery through implementation or optimisation, to value realisation and validation.
You will collaborate with other FinOps and TBM specialists, combining technical depth with a client-facing, consultative approach. A key part of the role is helping organisations turn business, financial and operational objectives into sustainable FinOps outcomes, while also contributing to the growth of the practice.
## Key Responsibilities
– Lead FinOps engagements, including maturity assessments, operating model design, tooling implementation and optimisation sprints.
– Work with IT, finance, application engineering and senior leadership teams to strengthen accountability and support change.
– Configure and improve FinOps tooling, including native tooling and IBM/Apptio Cloudability, with a focus on actionable insight.
– Support cost allocation design, tagging governance, commitment management and reporting across multi-cloud environments.
– Contribute to proposals, scoping and client development as the DACH practice grows.
– Use AI tools in day-to-day work to improve delivery speed and outcomes.
## Required Skills
– 5+ years’ experience in FinOps, cloud cost management or cloud economics.
– Strong understanding of AWS, Azure and/or GCP cost structures and optimisation levers.

– Confidence operating independently from day one, including structuring engagements, running workshops and writing proposals.
– Comfort working in ambiguity within a growing consultancy environment.
– Active daily use of AI tools such as Claude, Copilot or Cursor.
– Ability to build lightweight scripts or automation with AI assistance.
– Awareness of AI cost management as an emerging FinOps domain.
