## About the Role
DXC’s cloud and infrastructure area supports secure, scalable, and cost-effective IT environments across cloud, hosting, network, and mainframe services. This role leads FinOps work across multi-cloud environments, with a strong focus on financial efficiency, cost visibility, and operational governance.
The position serves as a central point of contact for FinOps, working between technical and financial teams to implement practical cost-management processes and reporting. It also supports cloud purchasing decisions, audit readiness, and traceability of cloud spending.
## Key Responsibilities
– Lead FinOps initiatives focused on cost optimization and financial efficiency in multi-cloud environments.
– Implement and mature FinOps practices aligned with the FinOps Foundation framework: Inform, Optimize, Operate.
– Manage cost allocation, showback/chargeback, tagging, and consumption governance.
– Build and track financial KPIs and dashboards covering consumption, trends, unit economics, and anomaly detection.
– Identify savings opportunities through rightsizing, savings plans, reservations, autoscaling, and idle-resource shutdowns.
– Support forecasting, budgeting, and variance management.
– Assist with cloud provider purchasing and negotiation to improve financial outcomes.
– Act as the FinOps point of contact, supporting training, culture, and alignment between technical and financial teams.
– Establish operating cadences and governance routines for FinOps.
– Support audits and ensure cloud cost traceability and compliance.
## Required Skills
– Hands-on experience with cloud computing, especially Azure and/or AWS.
– Proven FinOps experience, including cost management, optimization, governance, and cloud financial metrics.
– Knowledge of FinOps tools such as Cloudability, Apptio/CloudHealth, native tools, or BI tools.
– Understanding of the FinOps Foundation framework, including principles, practices, and metrics.
– Strong analytical skills using Excel/spreadsheets, SQL, or BI tools.
– Clear communication skills to translate technical concepts into financial impact and vice versa.
## Preferred Skills
– Intermediate or advanced English.
– Intermediate or advanced Spanish.
– Experience with multiple cloud providers, including AWS, Azure, GCP, and Oracle Cloud.
– Advanced knowledge of IBM Cloudability, including configuration, governance, reporting, and optimization.
– Experience with automation and integration for cloud cost management.
– Ability to organize and run FinOps operational routines.
– A continuous-improvement mindset and collaboration in multidisciplinary environments.
