# Director, FinOps Services Sales (Cloud & AI)
## About the Role
This senior sales leadership role is focused on growing revenue for Anglepoint’s Cloud FinOps solutions and services. The position is responsible for building pipeline, winning new business, and expanding existing customer relationships across enterprise and mid-market accounts.
The role supports organizations looking to improve cloud spend efficiency, financial accountability, and the business value of investments across AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, and emerging AI platforms. It works closely with delivery, marketing, alliances, and executive leadership to shape sales strategy and meet revenue goals.
A key part of the role is advising senior stakeholders on cloud financial management, cost governance, forecasting, chargeback/showback, and consumption optimization. The director will also develop business cases, support proposals and deal execution, and represent the company in industry and FinOps community settings.
## Key Responsibilities
– Develop and execute a sales plan to deliver annual revenue and profitability targets.
– Build and manage a pipeline of Cloud FinOps opportunities across enterprise and mid-market accounts.
– Lead complex sales cycles involving CIOs, CTOs, CFOs, Cloud Center of Excellence leaders, Procurement, and IT Finance teams.
– Secure new-logo business while growing relationships within existing accounts.
– Forecast revenue, bookings, and pipeline performance using Salesforce or a comparable CRM.
– Advise executive stakeholders on cloud financial management, cost optimization, governance, forecasting, chargeback/showback, and consumption optimization.
– Lead executive conversations on cloud transformation, cloud economics, operational efficiency, and FinOps value.
– Build business cases and ROI analyses for prospective clients.
– Position managed services, consulting services, and technology solutions based on client FinOps maturity.
– Work with solution architects and delivery teams on proposals and statements of work.
– Lead proposal development, contract negotiation, and deal closure.
– Represent the company at conferences, FinOps Foundation events, and cloud industry forums.
– Share market intelligence and customer feedback to shape services and go-to-market direction.
– Contribute thought leadership on FinOps best practices and cloud financial management.
## Required Skills
– 8+ years of enterprise technology sales experience.
– At least 3 years of experience in cloud, FinOps, ITAM, SaaS, managed services, or consulting services.
– A track record of meeting or exceeding significant annual bookings targets, ideally in the $3M-$10M+ range.
– Experience selling to C-level executives and senior technology and finance leaders.
– Success managing complex, consultative, multi-stakeholder sales cycles from prospecting through close.
– Understanding of AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud, including the financial and operational aspects of cloud consumption.
– Strong strategic account planning, executive communication, financial acumen, negotiation, pipeline management, forecasting, and presentation skills.
– Ability to work cross-functionally with delivery, marketing, alliances, and executive leadership in a consulting or professional services environment.
## Preferred Skills
– Experience selling FinOps consulting, cloud managed services, cloud optimization platforms, or IT financial management solutions.
– Familiarity with FinOps Foundation frameworks and FinOps maturity models.
– Experience with cloud cost management tools such as Apptio Cloudability, VMware CloudHealth, Flexera One, Harness, ProsperOps, Spot, or similar platforms.
– Experience in consulting or professional services sales.
– FinOps Certified Practitioner or FinOps Certified Professional certification.
– AWS Cloud Practitioner or AWS Solutions Architect certification.
– Microsoft Azure Fundamentals or Azure Administrator certification.
– Google Cloud Digital Leader certification.
