## About the Role

This position is responsible for the commercial management of cloud and XaaS services, with a focus on SaaS and PaaS solutions on Azure and AWS. You will help further develop the FinOps framework and ensure cloud services are managed economically and transparently.

A core part of the role is planning, monitoring, and optimizing cloud costs, budgets, and commitments. You will analyze cloud spend and usage data, identify cost drivers, and define measures to improve efficiency and value.

You will work closely with IT, Procurement, Controlling, and business teams to develop sustainable strategies for cloud sourcing, usage, and governance. The role also includes supporting cloud contract design, assessing cost and compliance risks, and preparing decision materials for management.

## Key Responsibilities

– Commercially manage cloud and XaaS services, with a focus on SaaS and PaaS on Azure and AWS
– Develop and continuously improve the FinOps framework
– Plan, monitor, and optimize cloud costs, budgets, and commitments
– Analyze cloud spend and usage data to identify cost drivers and efficiency opportunities
– Define and support optimization measures such as rightsizing, reservations, and licensing or pricing model improvements
– Work with IT, Procurement, Controlling, and business stakeholders on cloud sourcing and governance strategies
– Further develop governance, KPI, and reporting structures for cloud cost, utilization, and value management
– Automate analyses and processes using Power BI, Power Automate, hyperscaler tools, and AI-based solutions
– Support cloud contract development and assess cost and compliance risks
– Prepare management-ready decision materials

## Required Skills

– Degree in business informatics, computer science, economics, industrial engineering, or a comparable qualification
– Alternatively, a commercial-technical qualification plus experience in an IT, cloud, or finance environment
– Interest in FinOps, cloud cost management, and commercial topics
– Basic understanding of cloud and XaaS models, including SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS
– Strong analytical thinking and a high affinity for numbers, data, and digital tools
– Interest in regulatory requirements in the financial or insurance environment
– Strong communication skills, initiative, and confidence working across functions

– Experience with reporting, analysis, or automation solutions
