# AWS Cloud Financial Operations Analyst
## About the Role
A large provider client is seeking an AWS Cloud Financial Operations Analyst to support cloud spend management, optimization, and governance as it continues its move from VMware and on-premises infrastructure to AWS. The role is intended to help formalize and scale the client’s FinOps program while improving financial visibility across its cloud environment.
You will work closely with cloud engineering, infrastructure, and technology leadership teams to analyze AWS consumption, build forecasts and financial models, and identify opportunities to reduce waste and improve accountability. The position is remote for EST-based candidates, with flexibility to work onsite at 240 N Radnor Chester Road, Radnor, PA 19087 on a hybrid basis.
## Key Responsibilities
– Support cloud financial management, optimization, and governance for the enterprise AWS environment
– Analyze cloud consumption and spending patterns to improve cost visibility
– Build budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support planning and variance analysis
– Identify cost-saving opportunities and help drive accountability for cloud spend
– Partner with infrastructure, cloud engineering, and technology leadership during migration efforts
– Help establish and expand a more structured FinOps operating model
## Required Skills
– 3+ years of experience in FinOps, technology finance, cloud financial management, or IT financial analysis
– Experience supporting AWS environments and working with consumption-based cloud pricing models
– Hands-on experience with AWS Cost Explorer, AWS Budgets, AWS Cost & Usage Reports (CUR), Cloudability, CloudHealth, or similar tools
– Advanced Excel and financial modeling experience
– Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
– Experience using Power BI, Tableau, or SQL
– Experience partnering with infrastructure and cloud engineering teams during cloud transformation or migration initiatives
## Preferred Skills
– Experience with VMware-to-AWS migrations or large-scale cloud modernization efforts
– FinOps Certified Practitioner (FOCP) and/or AWS Cloud certification
– Cloud governance or lead experience

– Help build out and systematize the FinOps program
