## About the Role
The FinOps Manager is an individual contributor role within the Finance Operations function, reporting to the Director of Finance Operations. The position works alongside the FinOps Director to help build CNTXT’s commercial and operational finance foundation.
The role covers four main areas: revenue quality, margin intelligence, people productivity, and commercial governance. It partners closely with the Revenue team, the CFO, and business line leaders across deal evaluation, margin review, pricing, and business performance management.
This is a hands-on finance role with direct impact on forecasting accuracy, deal economics, pricing discipline, and management reporting. It also supports the development of finance policies and processes within FinOps.
## Key Responsibilities
– Track bookings and revenue recognition by business line.
– Maintain pipeline-to-revenue forecasting models and support monthly and quarterly revenue outlooks.
– Build and update gross margin models by business line and by deal, using the company’s margin threshold as a benchmark.
– Develop service and product cost models, including direct costs, subcontractor costs, and allocated overheads.
– Analyze margin distribution at deal level to identify exceptions and support pricing decisions.
– Monitor billable utilization for Professional Services and Managed Services teams and prepare productivity reporting.
– Track delivery bench cost.
– Participate in the deal desk process by reviewing deal economics, pricing compliance, and contract value at risk.
– Maintain and update rate cards across business lines in line with approved pricing policies.
– Support finance review of contracts and flag commercial risks and policy gaps.
– Prepare the Monthly Business Review.
– Support town hall reporting and executive finance presentations.
– Act as the Finance point of contact for assigned projects.
– Assist with accounts receivable follow-up and cash collection tracking with the Controller function.
– Help develop and maintain finance policies and procedures within FinOps.
## Required Skills
– Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
– 6–8 years of experience in commercial finance, business finance, FP&A, or a related field.
– Exposure to revenue recognition under IFRS 15, especially in multi-element arrangement or services environments.
– Experience working in or supporting a deal desk or commercial approval process.
– Familiarity with ERP systems and their integration with finance reporting.
– Experience in a startup, joint venture, or high-growth environment where processes are being built.
– English and Arabic language skills.
– Strong financial modelling skills using advanced Excel or Google Sheets.
– Experience in margin analysis, cost modelling, or deal economics.
– Ability to work independently, manage multiple workstreams, and communicate financial insights clearly to senior stakeholders.
## Preferred Skills
– MBA or another relevant professional certification.
– Background in a technology, SaaS, cloud services, or technology consulting environment.
– Experience with BI tools such as Looker or Power BI.
