Wring went from €0 to €1M in revenue in 8 months, and we’re scaling fast. We help startups save on cloud cost – for free. We find incentive programs companies can’t access on their own, help them make smart commitments, and build the tooling that advises on their infrastructure. The offer is easy to say yes to; our job is to make the value land fast.
You’ll be our first engineering hire. You own the product that makes the savings real. The FinOps platform our customers and our own team depend on. This is a founding role: you’ll set technical direction, build alongside a technical founder and a small team of sharp engineers, and shape how we engineer as we grow. The work leans backend and goes deep on AWS, but you own the full stack.
What you will do:
Build the FinOps engine.
This is the core. Deep integration with the AWS SDK — Cost Explorer, Organizations, Billing Conductor, and cross-account access via STS/AssumeRole — pulling real-world cloud-spend data across EC2, RDS, ECS and more, and turning it into clear, trustworthy savings.
Own multi-tenant data isolation.
We run with RLS off by design — customer isolation is enforced in the backend. You’re one of the people responsible for getting that right, and we treat it as the serious responsibility it is.
Wire up the integration surface.
DocuSign, Lexoffice, HubSpot, Google Docs/Drive, Resend – a lot of the product is gluing external systems together cleanly and keeping them reliable.
Set the technical foundation.
As the first engineer you make the architecture calls, write the SQL migrations, manage the CDK infra, and establish the practices the team scales on — including the unglamorous-but-critical parts, like running cron safely across autoscaled Fargate tasks.
What you’ll need:
Fully TypeScript: Node + Express with Supabase/Postgres on the backend, React + Vite and Tailwind/Radix on the frontend.
Senior full-stack, strong on the backend.
You own features from schema to UI and run solo.
Deep, hands-on AWS.
You’re comfortable in the SDK (cross-account roles, Organizations, the cost/billing APIs) and owning infrastructure.
Strong API-integration instincts.
Third-party APIs are a big part of the job; you make them reliable and you handle the mess.
An ownership mindset and comfort with little process.
Early-stage is a feature, not a bug
Product instinct.
You can sit with a customer problem, understand it, and make a call on what’s worth building.
Nice to have:
FinOps or cloud-cost tooling, or experience with the AWS Cost Explorer / Organizations / Billing Conductor APIs.
What is in it for you
Founding role.
You’re the first engineer. Real ownership of the architecture, the stack, and how we build.
Compensation:
€60-90K, depending on experience.
Build with strong people.
A technical founder who’s in the code day-to-day, plus a small team of sharp engineers.
Trajectory.
Get in at €1M in revenue and help build the company from here – the playbook, the metrics, the systems.
Remote within Europe
, with regular on-sites in European hotspots. We’re remote but we value in-person time and travel together every 1-2 months.
Wring helps startups save on cloud – for free. There are many ways to save on cloud, and we help our customers navigate all of them: we find incentive programs a company can’t access on its own, help them make smart commitments, and have tooling to advise on infrastructure. We pass 100% of the value straight through to the customer and make our money on the backend as an AWS channel partner. No fee, no cut, no code changes.
